With Oakland's free fall, they are only 2 games back of the top wild card spot and currently in the second spot. The next week of games are against scrubs like Texas and Houston which should give them some cushion (they are already 14 games above 500%). In a one game playoff, Seattle has to be favored no matter who they play with their dominate pitching.

They are first in all of MLB in ERA, WHIP, and BAA. Felix, Iwakuma, Young, and Paxton are four deep quality starters.

He's talking about your spelling

We have a good chance this year! It's been long enough. I'd hate to waste this awesome pitching staff.

i feel like the tigers would definitely be favored against seattle. and that's their most likely opponent

The A's are still going to be in the playoffs, and it'll likely be the wild card.

A WC matchup of Lester vs Felix would be nuts

I am cautiously optimistic. We haven't done anything since 2001 so I am not getting my hopes up just yet. They need to finish off the rangers in a 4 game sweep this week and atleast take 2/3 from the Astros. We still have a series with the A's and I believe two more with the angels. I also believe they need that #1 WC for home field. If they get that I'll take the King vs anyone, safeco field would be crazy.

Geaux Mariners!
