When we did it a bunch (before it was popular) I used to drag a woman out there every year. They generally hated it.

The bait, blood, and smell always got to them. Also, the first time you pull one up and stick a gun barrel to his head and pull the trigger usually freaked them out.
Now that it's sort of a novelty event, they seem to enjoy it more. I guess it's because they have a better idea of what to expect as far as nasty bait and shooting things in the head.
