Definitely not Twiddle. I listened to them recently after hearing some hype and it sucked.

Would White Denim fit the bill?

Great band but wouldn't really put them in the "jam" category

Any band that improvs for any period of time in a live set is technically a "jam band"

And we're off

I don't think there will be another Grateful Dead/Phish.

I'm surprised the Disco Biscuits never got bigger, especially with the EDM explosion of recent years.

It goes to show how important songwriting is when you consider the amount of insane talent in the jam scene that hasn't broken into the mainstream. Joe Russo and Marco Benevento come to mind.

Not a requirement for tier one. The more mainstream the band, the lower the tier. Fish3.0 is barely in tier two.

For some reason, I think Bisco's momentum is starting to roll again, in terms of gaining new fans. I've started to see a bunch of my Coloradbro friends post about this Denver show and converting new fans, becoming new fans, etc.
