They want $15/HR.

Welcome to Popeye's Please pull around and wait a half hour

LINK

Currently only McDonalds, BK, and Wendy's participating. I wonder how long before these stores are totally automated and have no need for people other than repairs.

pretty sure if you're not in a union, striking means you are fired

I don't think they understand the theory behind a strike. What exactly is their leverage?

Although if they start paying 15/hr maybe competent people will want to do the work.

I don't get the point of this when Obama is trying to get amnesty who will gladly take the job for minimum wage. Flipping a burger or jockeying a register is not a skill, therefore you get minimum wage. Don't give me the b.s. either of how you're held down by the man and blah blah blah when pell grants and such can send you to votech to learn a trade.

Get off your lazy whiny arse, put down your fricking cell phone, and get my Frosty before you get a boot in the arse.

I'll bet $15 doesn't change anything. More expensive food, same shitty service.

Will probably be extremely difficult to find qualified candidates to replace the strikers.

You can't get a simple fricking order right, yet you are demanding $15/hr? Ok...

I am a pretty patient person.. the type that tips 20% when sit down service is BAD.. etc.

Yesterday, I walked out of a McDonalds on my way home from Houston because it was so bad.

Man in front of me with his three little girls, ordering. I zone out and realize several minutes later that he's still there ordering. The woman is completely confused on how to use the machine. She keep repeating his order back to him and it's wrong every single time, and then she has to search for the right buttons.

Clearly she was new, but she didn't ask for help. When she finally did, the manager came over, pressed 2 buttons for her, and then walked away.. so the girl was still taking the man's order.

During this time, 4 thugged out people in fricking pajamas get in line behind me. They get in front of me and ask another worker who isn't on a register to ring them up. So she opens a new register and waits on them; essentially they skip me. Original worker walked away to bag the man in front of me's food and never came back to the register.. and the thugs are arguing with the 2nd employee about the price of their food.

I was so irate I thought I'd die. I audibly said frick THIS shite. And stormed out

Saw this in Stockholm and it was really cool, AND I did it all by myself, which was really cool.

Seriously a few touchscreens would be paid for in a months work at $15/hour.

Apparently it's like splitting a fricking atom to most of their workers.
