Based on what I saw last weekend A&M and UGA are 1/2 for me. I can't rank OU/MSU/Oregon because they played nobodies, and teams like FSU/Bama/Auburn/OSU/UCLA struggled for long stretches against decent, if not spectacular, competition.

Those 10 would probably be mine in some order with 1/2 being decided for me

I don't like a lot of hype since we don't do so well when we get it.

And I don't know how everyone can have them as top 10 based on what we saw this weekend. They looked downright awful for 37 minutes of that game. They have the talent to be top 10, but they were bad for 2/3 of a game, so I can't reward them for that

Agreed, but I'm not going to reward them for that myself, based on what I saw on the field. I mean LSU looked downright BAD til midway through the 3rd quarter. I'm talking 5-7 bad. They turned it around for sure, but man they looked god awful

Well, if I'm doing a top 10 based on the product I saw on the field this weekend, then them looking bad for 2/3 of the game should count

Are you butthurt that Ohio State isn't in this top 10?

A 7-6 halftime deficit to freaking NAVY will do that to you.

Yeah I'm an LSU fan and I agree with this but if Wisconsin turns out to be really really good then it would make sense.

I think that was two things:

1) Wiscy played well. They have a really nice RB a solid OL and a QB who can get outside of the pocket with athleticism.
2) LSU also made a lot of mistakes. They are young and that's the trade off of going young when you graduate/lose players early - but it can show up against real opponents early whereas you can get away without being exposed if you play some creampuffs earlier in the season instead.

I waffled with my own list and probably should have replaced UCLA with Auburn (not LSU)... but I think LSU is probably accurately ranked at about 12.

If we went off the "eye" test no B10 would ever play in the playoffs.

I don't give a flying F if OSU is in the top 10 in this poll.

Teams who looked way better than OSU this weekend in addition to those already mentioned:

Texas
USC
Michigan
Nebraska
Duke
etc.

So if we would have opened the season with Sam Houston and won 42-0 it would be acceptable to have us in the top 10. Wisconsin is a good fricking team. and we won.
