The one thing that was much better than last years d-line was we seemed to pressure the quarterback enough to make him uncomfortable. That was missing last year unless we blitzed. I think very promising!

I dont think we got much of any pressure at all....honestly I dont see why we didnt run blitz all night. Our corners can obviously cover. Would love to see our D bring more pressure.

Don't look like much has changed....in fact, it may be worse, but just based on one game...

I think our D line got pretty abused most of the game last night. Honestly......had Wisky just kept running north/south after they got the big lead I think they would have won.

Watch again. Anytime the QB was pressured it was safety blitz. Our defensive line was abused Saturday night. We sincerely miss Ferguson and Johnson. Thomas is only about 75%. LaCouture was not really effective. Rasco played very well but Danielle Hunter had zero impact.

The DEs have to keep containment. As long as they keep their edge, nobody can outrun us. Hunter has to be better.

Rasco played well. Hunter not so much especially on containment. DTs were almost nonexistent.

We blitzed fairly well with regard to pressure. They did not throw the ball that much and when LSU put pressure on McEvoy made terrible throws. Unfortunately he escaped a couple of sacks where LSU defenders got a hand on him and he got away and made positive yards.

In the second half and the fourth qtr in particular he got rattled by the pressure. On one play late in the game a blitz was coming straight off our left outside and the HB picked him up but McEvoy panicked and threw the ball out of bounds. On another late play the blitz was coming and unloaded it early and that wound up being Ronald Martin's pik.
