Porter didn't make the trip either

I knew pocic had beaten him out but I never dreamed he wouldn't make the effin trip. Now our backup center if pocic gets injured is a TF who's never snapped the ball in his career in Clapp

I think you are misreading the situation.
Pocic "beating him out" probably had everything to do with Porter being injured.

Depends on the injury. A lot of players stay home on rehab when injured.
