Is it technically possible to implement a "Last Read" feature?

One of the forums that I spend a fair amount of time allows for jumping to the "last read" post in any given thread via a button inline with the thread title.

It's pretty handy when you have to attend to real life but want to return to that thread & pick up reading where you left off. As it stands on TD, I've gotta' try to memorize the page I stopped reading at or else just wade through the whole thread again.
