Not saying he'll be offered by LSU, but has a chance to be very good. Jennings sophomore Travis Etienne (5-11, 190) will have a breakout season.

Do you really think a 6 year old started a account?

Not hardly Travis. My nephews play on that team. I watched him as a freshman. Very talented kid. And as a former sports writer I've seen a few good backs (Lawrence Nixon, Cecil Collins, Michael Ford). He compares favorably to them at that age.

Mother F'ing this. Strong sophomore last year. Saw them play at Loreauville(sp?) last year. Got blown out but he had close to 200.

quote:

Although he did not come into 2013 as the feature back, a 1,600-yard rushing effort in just over half a season as the starter will have opponents’ eyes focused squarely on the 5-foot 11-inch, 185-pound speedster this year.

Big kid, not sure of D1 speed but already a man amongst boys.

I remember Clifford Etienne aka The Black Rhino, he was one of the last KTFOs of Mike Tyson. Good to see he his children are performing at a high level.

Kirkland Banks out of Barbe is another sophomore back. Very speedy/shifty and had 3 TDs in the jamboree last night.

ETA: However he's also a baseball prospect.

We have 2 sophs to keep an eye on at North DeSoto. Alex Tucker is a 6'1, 200 lb. lefty qb and Delmonte Hall is a 6', 190 lb. rb.

Etienne looked "ok" againts LHS last week. The turf was like glass. LHS oline and dline pushed Jennings around pretty good.

He is still young, but Jennings can really only run the ball out of the splitback veer. Unless the other team is physical enough upfront, Jennings RBs have big games. I have heard he has a shot at D1... but I'm not sold he gets any attention from LSU.
