It is as though this LSU team is about to burst with young, hungry talent that is incredibly confident and also willing to accept the lack of respect as a badge of honor.

I have no idea what the final record will be, but I think that we are about to see something special. The players and coaches seem dialed in. It is almost as though they are keeping it quiet with just a few leaks here and there. Maybe I am just being a homer, but it seems like this team knows what's up.

2011. It was my senior year, and I knew it was going to be a special run. But knowing that this is the preview for a championship run sometime in the next 3 years has me pretty giddy.

I'm excited to see the new faces, but I've been more excited when there were legit national title hopes. Realistic expectations are around 9 wins for me. I'm guessing this season will have some highs and lows as these freshman and Jennings learns and grows. Excited but not near as much as in some past years.

im fascinated to see Fournette. we've had dozens of 5-stars but none have been anywhere near this level of hype this close to the season. there's Heisman talk for fricks sake. we could be 30 hours from the debut of the best player LSU has ever had.

I get what you are saying and I can say that 2007 and 2011 involved more anticipation for a championship. But, I am probably more excited about this year just because I think it will be a lot of fun and even if we lose games, I think that it is going to be great to see these kids grow and develop.

I also like not having the pressure on us.

I trust the coaches and think that LSU has a ton of talent. It just has to come together.

All of this, but with a little more emotion. I'm a bugaholic

I'm excited about Fournette, but there was also some pretty big hype around Perrilloux and Shep as well.
