Possible to get half the production of Kenny Hill from Jennings or Harris?

Jennings and Hill were the 6th and 4th ranked DT QBs out of Highschool. I know we run a pro style offense, but is it unreasonable to think we could get 200-250 ypg type of production from either of our QBs?

ATM is in the same situation as far as a new qb and youth at the reciever position and Hill managed to throw for 511 yards.

I wish we could have snagged RSJ

We won't throw it half as much as TAM did though!

A&M's offensive scheme has a lot to do with it.

They threw the ball 60 times. We'll struggle to run 60 plays the entire game because hopefully we'll be able to control the LOS. You're probably look at something like 35 runs to 20 passes.

I agree with that. Still, with the talent coming in at WR we should be able to throw the ball 20-25 per game.

Our offense is better than A&M's.

Don't get all high and mighty. People act like we can't expect any type of substantial production out of the passing game because we have a new qb and new receivers.

No.

The takeaway from last night, however, is that there are zero excuses for the LSU offense this year. A&M replaced a Heisman winning QB, a 1st round tight end, their top 3 wide receivers, and a 1st round tackle, and yet their offense last night looked better than it had last year.

We've recruited well, and have talent and speed everywhere.

No excuses.

If it makes you feel better, Texas A&M did not exceed 200 yards rushing or have anyone rush for over 100 yards.

I bet LSU does both tomorrow night.

People act like we can't except substantial production from the passing game because we know how Miles likes to ease new QBs into games. We are not going to come out slinging. That is just no how Miles rolls. 2 completely different offensive attitudes.

One time. Let's see him go through a season before putting him in the NFL.

Matt Flynn had one good game with the Packers, and we know how that turned out.
