Which class to you take coming out?

Major players

09
Ford
Shepard
Loston
Downs
Davenport
Randle
Montgomery
Minter
Mingo
Brokers
Faulk

14
Paris
Adams
Garrett
Fournette
Deondre Clark
Godchaux
Valentine
Dupree
Quinn
Williams
Harris

That looks like dead even class's to me. And you can't penalize players like davenport for underperforming and Claiborne over performing later on.

Garrett and Calhoun never made it too. Akeem hicks was actually a huge blow as well looking back.

I would take 09 class, proven talent at the college level... (i thought the 14 class was predicted to have some ridiculous number of 5 stars for LSU and we would end up number one or two. Now i see we are predicted 7-10. I dont keep up with recruiting, but what changed)?

You're confusing me some. The 14 class already happened and it was number 2 in the country across the board. For all intents and purposes we have 4 five stars in that class. As a matter of fact...Paris dropped like a rock for no apparent reason and I believe was a 5 star at the end of his senior season. Also valentine is borderline. Then we missed on a couple that hurt a little. Willis...brown and speedy come to mind. Robinson was never coming here.

All in all...we did well.

I think you're confusing 14&15 classes.

I agree though...even with the bust of davenport...Shepard...lostton (not really bust) the 09 class was very good and well rounded. The dline was beastly and had Faulk on the online. I don't even know if we got a true tackle last year.

Crap D, sorry, I was reading 15 class....sorry, I will go back to outdoor board now... (thought you were asking for predictions if 15 was going to be better than 09)

Picking the 09 class over 14 is insane, imo. Fournette and Dupre are ridiculous. Adams and Harris will be first round picks. The rest of the classes are comparable, but this is Les Miles best class by far.

Rnadle and Loston were thought to be just as good as Adams and Dupree coming out. At least when I was on here...they were talked about the same. Shepard was a god and davenport was surely going to be a good tackle. That's what I remember anyway. So coming out...they seem comparable to me. Same ranking...same number of blue chips. Thought it was somewhat comparable.

Calling the 14 class the best by far can't even be considered IMO. That 09 class damn near won us a championship.

Randle and Loston weren't as athletic as Chi and Adams. Very close comparison though. Shepard was very near the same amount of hype as Fournette, within our fan base, though I think everyone understands what we potentially have in Fournette. Overall I think 14 ends with more elite NFL players though 09 might have been deeper. Time will tell

Imo 2014 class will be better. Since 2013 I've been saying 2015 LSU will win the national championship. With the signing of the 2014 class it's very possible that could happen.

Randle was a beast, he just had shitty QBs. So he and Malachi are neck and neck imo. Loston was known more as a hard hitter than anything else. Adams is an all around safety.

As for which class was better, '14 because it has Buga...trumps all

Gotta take 14 because it had a QB in it. And no, anyone who follows recruiting knew Shep would not play QB. Granted, we will have to look back in 3-4 years to really know which class was better.

If Dupree is as good as Randle we have us a gem.

Yeah... That 11 class was nasty and top heavy. But nasty. This class appears to better comparison to the 11 class actually. And I have no problem giving the 2014 class the edge right now.

It's ab every year. 2015 is just as important as 14 bc we need a lot more OL WR DL and LB depth. 2013 was huge for the 14 class cuz there were 15-18 4 star recruits in that class and a lot Got red shirted and have more time to develop. 16 may be just as special as 14 but 15 matters the most right now. And we have no clue who we will sign on the DL or LBs. And we have to get TJ or it's practically a failure if you ask me.

Texas Tech i mean come on really
