Any Spotify gurus out there?

I had a lightning strike and had just about everything electronic in my home fried. I recently purchased two replacement AV Receivers - a yamaha RXV-677 and a yamaha RXV-477. Both support spotify. The major differences are that one is 7 channels and one is 5 channels, and the 677 has built in wifi whereas the 477 is hard wired to my router.
My problem is that Spotify connect only recognizes the 677. I've tried unplugging the 677 to see if the 477 would show up, and no luck. For the record everything works great and exactly as advertised between the spotify app and the 677 receiver. But I'd much prefer to use the 477 for spotify playback.
I realize that I can only play back on one device at a time, but I'd like the option to choose which device. Other than an iPhone and an iPad both with spotify apps on them, these are the only devices on the network.
For the record I'm new to spotify and have not paid for the premium service yet. I have every intention on doing so if I can get this resolved. I'd really like to stream to the 477 receiver.
The yamaha app that controls both receivers works just fine. It asks me which one I'd like to control. And pandora works just fine on the one I'd like to play spotify on...so I know it's on the network.

are your mobile devices on the wifi network or just using bluetooth?

I didn't know they had receivers with apps like that.
If it's a pain in the arse, just hook up an iphone or ipod to your receiver and play spotify through that.

According to the website, the Spotify app is required to be on your mobile device too..It does not point this out on the Pandora section..

try completely logging out of spotify on all devices, then only signing in on the receiver you want. it might just be b/c you've already "signed in" elsewhere.
i stream any audio or video that can play on the iphone, ipad, or ipod to my receiver via the appletv and airplay. very simple and built into the operating system already, and most apps already accommodate it.

All mobile devices are on the network. No Bluetooth.
The whole point is to NOT leave my phone sitting near the receiver.
Sonos is very nice from what I hear. But it's not what I want because frankly it doesn't "rock out" like the stuff I have which should already do everything sonos does lol
Spotify app is installed on my mobile devices. In fact this is the only way to switch the receivers input to Spotify.
I will now try logging out of spotify as suggested. Not sure why I hadn't thought of this before. You never know it might be that simple.
If that doesn't work, then yes, I'll post to the tech board.
Thanks to all who replied.
