Began watching July 4 of this year. Finished the last 2.5 episodes tonight. How does one detox from 62 episodes in 53 days? Plus, all other writing and acting looks amateurish now. Maybe it would have been better to spread this out over 6 years.

GOT is seriously one of the most overrated shows on tv. Sheeple praise it because it's the "cool" thing to watch

Wait, I didn't make myself clear. I'm not looking for another show (yet). I'm gonna miss these guys. I guess I'll get over this when I say I'll get over this.

Give up on TV. It's all downhill from here.

That's crazy bc I literally just finished a rewatch of it. Great show and it's funny how you catch so many different things watching again. Walt tends to pick up habits of the people he has killed, I noticed all of them for the most part and caught a new one. When he was at the bar he ordered a double pinch drink neat, that was hanks drink. He had always had it on the rocks. The writing on this show was too good

I wouldn't go that far. There have been lots of great shows in the recent past and I'm sure there will continue to be good ones. And yes, Game of Thrones is one of them. Mad Men is still going a little longer I think. True Detective will hopefully be just as good in S2 as S1.

I'm loving Breaking Bad (watching on the Sunday marathons on AMC). I personally think a huge part of that is the acting, particularly Cranston. The storylines are good but they do tend to rely on some fairly far fetched plot developments:

When he went into the building to get his money back from the drug kingpin early on and used the explosive chemical, why didn't anyone shoot him when he got out of throwing range. I'm sure a gun can shoot further than he could throw.

Would he really be able to keep his alternate lifestyle a secret from his wife for so long?

Would a local shyster like Saul really have ready access to a guy that was willing to go to jail on their behalf?

None of these stop me from enjoying the show at all. But I think it's a bit of a stretch to say that the writing makes all other shows look amateurish.

I agree with some of what you are saying, but I could literally say things like that about every show ever made.
