Get XL. You can't get a cast iron skillet in the large and if you ever use the pizza stone to make home made pizzas, you will definitely wish you had the XL

Really? I remember cooking on the Akorn with a pizza stone and it sure wasn't as big as the xl green egg.

Pizza stone fits the LG.
I would only get an XL if you're cooking for more than a family of 5 on a regular basis.

That's what I needed to know. I will probably go with the large. They run about $800?
Is there a noticeable difference between that and the Akorn?

only problem I ever had with the Large is fitting ribs. But they do sell v/racks to fit multiple racks of ribs.

Should. You start racking up $$$ on additions. You will need at least a nest to put it in. You can buy a table but it's much cheaper to build one yourself.
Get a cover for it as well.

how did the pizza come out?

the nest comes with it. Don't cover it. It will tend to mold on the inside from the humidity. 2 accessories to buy right off is the plate setter, and pizza stone.

Amazing. I'll try and upload the pizza. I imagine the green egg is much better than the Akorn though.

Just got back offshore fishing. Gonna grill something up next week. How much is the pizza stone and is that available at indoor outdoor?
