So I'm planning on going to midtown Houston for the bar scene Friday night and Saturday before the game with a small group I'm going with. We'll all be 21+. Another group we're going with has a few minors with them, however. Will we pretty much plan on not being able to go to midtown bars with them or there some good 18+ bars there?

Very minimal amount of 18+ bars there you better off staying with 21+

Its been a while since Ive been to anything late night but a few years ago there was Rich's Houston which is considered midtown/down on San Jacinto. You may want to google it. Not sure how strict they are on age these days.

That's kind of what I figured. We're going to be limited to places near the Metrorail as well.

We headed to Big Woodrows Bar and Grill off of richmond. Supposedly it's a great place with a bunch of TVs to watch games all day.

Negative to Big Woodrows! Not only is it terrible and the food is horrible, but it is NO LONGER the LSU watch party bar. The place is run down. Theres way too many nicer better places in Houston than to go to Big Woodrows. Now, there are several Little Woodrows that are nice. Theres one in midtown too that stays crowded often, but DEFINITELY NO BIG WOODS. Too many Alumni were complaining about that place so we finally changed the wwatch party location on game days....to Christian's Tailgate in the Heights!

Big Woods is away from midtown/downtown too. Its outside the loop, about 6 miles away! Bad pick!
