Watched Dead Man Walking yesterday on Netflix for the first time and was blown away, what an awesome movie and legendary performances by Susan Sarandon and Sean Penn.
It really makes you think about the death penalty and how you feel about it. And the fact that movie takes place in Louisiana makes it hit close to home.

Really good movie. I haven't watched it in probably ten years though.

This movie will always have a bad taste in my mouth because I had to read the book in high school and argued with my religion teacher almost daily about the death penalty (she sucked SO fricking much sometimes). I haven't seen the movie in prolly almost 20 years or so (I think it came out in like 94 or 95, and I watched it in HS).

Read the book and watched the movie. Hated both. But only bc I don't care for the subject matter and my high school made me do it.

Does the movie give the details of the crimes committed by the p.o.s.?
Read up on it. The guy was a complete menace, without remorse.

I love Dead Man Walking. I'm curious to see the group headed to Washington, D.C. The show suffers when Grimes and Co. are stuck in one place too long.
