Changing DNS on your Droid

Does anyone know how to point your cell phone (Android version 4.2.2) to a different DNS server? I have looked throught the options but cannot find. This is needed when connected to Wi-Fi.

Do the DNS server change on the router. If you don't have access to the router good luck.

I do have access to the router and have looked through the options but dont see anything there either. Do u know of a home router that has that option?
