True or false. If he would have swallowed his ego and changed to a position other than qb (position based on what scouts and coaches agreed he could excel at) he woulda prolonged his nfl career by 4 years.

I say true

Edit: thanks I fixed it

You have 5 years to play 4 in college.

Eta: do you think any NFL team gave him a real shot to be himself? I don't. .. so we can't know if he would have been a great NFL QB

Size-wise, he'd do okay as TE/HBack (he was around 250 or so when he was in NY, he may have lost some when he went to NE). But I really don't know how well he'd block/run routes/catch.

I honestly think he would have found some sort of role in the NFL if it weren't for the circus that followed him.

I just remember listening to coaches, gm's expressing how they thought he could convert to a good te or h back if he wanted bc he was such an athlete. All I said was 4 more years which I think could of happen.

Had the will and talent to be a good backup and 3rd and short qb. Wish he would've stuck with it longer. Great leadership and awareness as well.

Prob not 4 yrs, but I could have seen 1-2 extra years if he would have switched positions.

Denver gave him a very real shot. Go look at his numbers from 2011 and tell me there's a hint of greatness there. 18 total TDs, 12 turnovers.

To the OP: 4 more years would have given him 7 total years in the NFL, assuming he makes the switch after his stint in NY. That's longer than the average NFL career. Without having any evidence to how good he could have been at another position, I wouldn't be willing to assume he would have met that mark.

Meh.....as a Jets fan kind of pissed that my organization thinks Gino Smith deserves a shot after being a turnover machine but that Tebow shouldn't throw 1 pass after taking Denver to the playoffs

Tell me...what did he do that season?

He won, plain and simple. Took the Broncos to the playoffs for the first time in years and got past divisional round in standard Tebow fashion.

He was 24 as well. Absolutely zero shot a kid that age could possibly improve under a good QB coach, you're right. Never happens

I guess the other 52 guys on the roster had zero to do with that, right? Standard Tebow fashion was let the defense play lights out for 3.5 quarters and then pull something out of his arse. Usually getting to the 40 yard line and let Prater kick a 50 yard field goal.

You let the fact that they made the playoffs cloud the fact that they went 0-3 to finish the regular season 8-8, and needed the Chargers to beat Oakland to even make the playoffs.

Anyone who thinks Denver would have been in the Super Bowl last year with Tebow is deluding themselves.
