I need to give this one another try...tried it about a year ago and wasn't really into the first episode. Which is weird, cuz I figured it'd be right up my alley.

Liked it a lot. Not too much over the top action, which was a good thing. I liked the "politics" among the various units and commanders.

I was in the Marines. I would say that Generation Kill is the most accurate description of how Marines really act that I've ever seen. The show is filled with jokes that you probably wouldn't get if you weren't in. I laugh my arse off every time I watch it.
Fun Fact: Fruity Rudy played himself. Apparently they brought him on as a technical advisor and then asked him to play himself because they couldn't find anyone as good looking and ripped as he was that was also fricking weird enough to play him.
