I can keep up to 3 guys out of this lineup, and I really only know that I want to keep Marshawn Lynch. I can only hold on to 3, so which other two (if any) would you hold on to?

I've never done a keeper league so I don't know how to see what round I would have to give up

Our league plays that if you keep a player you lose the round ahead of the round you drafted them. When did you draft Gio? Also, when did you draft Cooper? I have a feeling he will put up numbers this year (I'm assuming you took him late or off waivers)

Gotcha. Alright so Lynch was my first round pick so I will probably wind up not keeping him after all (number 2 overall pick). Here is my draft:

God looking back, what the frick was I thinking?

You still haven't answered the question...?

I'm guessing this is a free keeper league or something, because I don't know how you wouldn't know the rules of your own league.

Do you get to keep 3 people and they constitute your first three draft picks?

Do you get to keep them from the round they were drafted in last year?

Do you get to keep them from the round they were drafted in last year plus a penalty (1-2 rounds)?

No offense, but you can't expect answers when you provide 0 details

I've never done a keeper league so I can't answer your questions because they aren't detailed anywhere i've looked so far. Hell, I tried looking up the ESPN Keeper rules and it doesn't even break it down. So I have no clue what the penalty (if any) is applied to keeping a player over keeping no one.

Alright after further digging, I found the rule:

quote:

A keeper-league draft will vary based on how many keepers your league manager set to keep for the upcoming season. For example, if the league is set to keep three players, there will be three keeper rounds. These picks will take place in the first three rounds of the draft. The picks will be auto-selected automatically when the team is slated to pick.

So I would lose my first 3 round picks if I were to keep 3 players. frick that. I might just throw them all back in

maybe you should ask your commissioner, there's a bunch of different ways leagues handle it

A lot of times, this is not an option. Depends on the league.

I've looked all over the league settings page (ESPN) and there is nothing detailing what the stipulations for keepers are. Just that we are allowed to keep 3 players. I had to go into the FAQs regarding Keeper leagues to get that rule I posted.

That wouldn't really help you. Assume that the other 11 teams keep their 3 best players, you're looking at getting 3 players ranked in the 30s at best. Lynch and Bernard are certainly better than that. Johnson is right about that range, too, so he could be your 3rd keeper.

You definitely need to check with your commissioner, because like BillJ said, there are a bunch of different ways these leagues can operate.

I doubt there will be a RB better than Bernard and Lynch available if you tossed them all back in.

You would be screwing yourself.

It's not something you'll find in the league settings

Luck in the 4th is solid. He's not going past the 3rd unless you're playing with a bunch of morons and he'll be a top 5 QB easily.
