Before starting this thread I thumbed through some of the auction threads already on here, but none of them really seemed to give me what I was looking for. This is a 8 team PPR league and this is our first year doing auction so I'm just looking for a little advice as to my draft plan.

I realize you are looking for a weekly advantage so should I got top heavy or try for a more balanced team? Right now I'm leaning towards targeting Jimmy Graham and a top 4 RB to throw the most money at. To balance out I'm okay with whichever QB I end up with and WR's are pretty deep so I feel like I can make some ground up later getting some decent valued WR's. I'm just looking for some opinions from guys who have experience with auction drafts or maybe have a better strategy I can go with. I've never missed the playoffs doing snake so I'm looking to keep that streak alive switching to auction.

That's actually an interesting idea. Being an 8 team league I always wind up grabbing some guys off waivers who are pretty solid. Last year I got Alshon and Keenan both off of waivers.

i see no reason not to go with an extreme stud/dud strategy

Shady: 65
Lacy: 55
Megatron: 60

8 team waiver wire will be staacked. You should leave with at least 3 first round players
