Let me preface by stating that I do not know where Gibson is leaning, but tOSU makes a lot of sense for his style of play.

Does the Miller injury, and the subsequent ability to play by a younger QB cause gibson to re-open his recruiting process?

if a RSFr. comes in and does pretty darn well, as i would expect with the Buckeye offense, why would gibson want to go into a system where he is fighting an uphill battle? the biggest selling point for tOSU was the wide open QB battle that was available for next season.

pretty sure Torrance knows he's not a future QB, but one school who will let him play it is tOSU

i am not so sure about that

he does have accuracy issues, but he is still young and would greatly benefit by a coach (Cameron) that can teach good mechanics. he definitely has the arm strength and the size to play QB.

I always thought Gibson was Knoxville bound. But Miller stated yesterday he will redshirt this year, seeing as he has never done so, then rehab and return to tOSU next season, which throws tOSU early playing time card out the window. Barrett will start this year, with Barrett/Miller the following.

Here you are.

quote:

"Being mentored by Braxton Miller, that'd be pretty awesome," Gibson told cleveland.com during a phone interview Tuesday night. "Being mentored by one of the best quarterbacks that ever came to Ohio State, man that would be something. It would be great if I decided to go to Ohio State."

I think LSU has been out of the mix for awhile now, with Patterson out there and if Franks sticks.

IMO, if he doesn't go to Tennessee, he might not see the field for 3 years. Even still, it would be a hard battle with a couple guys they are bringing in.

I don't think he's going to Tennessee. I'm not saying it will be Ohio State but some of his recent comments indicate that Tennessee isn't a consideration anymore.
