AP is not only one of the greats of this generation, but of all time. Too bad he plays in the shitshow that is the Vikings. His best chance was in Favre's first year in Minnesota, and he is partly to blame for blowing it by fumbling.

I feel bad for the guy. Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel are garbage, and I don't see Bridgewater doing much either.

Barry Sanders was on a team that won 1 playoff game during his whole career. It happens to the best of them.

He could have left in 2011. He made his bed.

He might be the last HOF RB elected for a long time the way the NFL is going with valuation of that position.

I don't think it is how the NFL treats the position as much as the best/freakish athletes don't play RB as much...if you have an Adrian Peterson, you're not going to carry 5 backs and rotate them

we just haven't seen as many special players at the position

Vikings fans have a lot to be excited about. Bridgewater looked pretty good out there and Cordarrelle will be a beast this season.

I sympathize with my Minnesota buddies though. They could start the season off 0-5 with Cassel at the helm.

Did he even lose a fumble in the game?

I know he fumbled it a lot, but I think he recovered all of them. One went about 10-15 yards up the field, and he was able to get up and still outrun Shanle to the ball

I think he did. The one where they were inside the Saints 10 I believe, and he and Favre screwed the hand-off up.

He definitely fumbled the exchange with Farve near the goalline and the Saints recovered. Fujita fell on it I believe.

There are QB's who threw like 15 passes a game in the HOF. It isn't out of the realm of possibilities for today's RB's to make it.
