Cubs ground's crew just flooded their field

Giants announcers are saying it was done intentionally.

They pulled the tarp out crooked and it started pouring. They brought smaller pieces of tarp to cover around 3rd and ss. Then they pulled the tarp off and flooded the 2nd base position

While I agree, there is nothing in the MLB rule book that would allow for this.

Weird this seems to be happening more than once this year. Would be pretty bad if Giants miss playoffs by a game.
