#LSU coach Les Miles: I think there's an opportunity to see both QBs play vs. #Wisconsin.

And it begins, rant on..

Edit: Miles says #LSU will tell the starter on Thursday who's starting. (Next Thursday)

Not as though that was unexpected.

Agreed, I believed they'd both see action in the opener

Not a surprise, when one outshines the other then LSU will have their starting QB

That's what I thought. I'd put Jennings as the Wisconsin starter due to experience, but I see them both getting time until one is clearly ready to take the starting role.

I think Jennings starts obviously, but I think Harris will play 65%ish of the game.

And he clarified not this coming Thurs, but the next (week of the game) in a later tweet.

I don't really mind this. If it's still too close to call we should see how each performs in the game and the coaches can make the call based on that.

2 qbs means you have no qb.

Let each play a half or a quarter, or at least their own drive. I just don't like when they come in play to play!! Messed up everything IMO and offense doesn't gain any rhythm. Let one play for a significant amount of time. Man I hope we involve these TEs and fullbacks in the passing game. Also Malachi Dupre is a freakn animal, just thought I would mention that kids going to be freakn good!

Not if the two bring different things to the table.

Two different things is Peyton manning and mike Vick.

I don't see what our two qbs do that's that much different than the other.

I just think Harris is the better QB and gives us more options going forward. Harris is going to be a good QB. I get excited thinking about the future of this team, if we can put together a veteran O with a veteran D, LSU will be scary good, but we are always short somewhere important. If these guys would just stay that one more year to get that ship?! Selfish I know but damn

I know. But you aren't just automatically fricked if you play two QBs, as you implied.

I could see us implementing a system whereby Harris is the "Manning" (yes, I know Harris is fast too) and Jennings is the "Vick", so to speak, a la Flynn/RP, but perhaps with Jennings playing a bigger role than RP did in 2007. They both are "pass-first" with speed and athleticism from what I understand, but Jennings' size lends itself to being a more durable running QB at this juncture. Plus Harris has, by all accounts, a stronger throwing arm (don't know about touch/accuracy). I think we could have some success with something like this. Maybe not this year, but down the line.

But who really knows? We have options, which isn't a bad thing. I'm confident it will work itself out one way or the other, especially with Cam's coaching and input.

This is not new information, everyone already pretty much knew we'd see both significantly against wisconsin. This thread was not needed.
