Who would have guessed that rockets would be fired into Israel from Gaza?

It expried, it wasn't broken. The ceasefire wasn't undefinite, because the Palestinian people are tired of the status quo.

Trackfan will come here any minute to defend the Gazans. Oh wait, no he won't, he only cares about hating on Jews, not helping anyone else.

Tired of the not-firing-missiles status quo?

Wow.

If Israel wants to replace these short-term ceasefires with long-term ones, it's going to abandon its rejectionist negotiating tactic.

The truth of the matter is that Bibi has no interest in peace, he hates it.

Bibi must have remotely fired the missiles at himself from Israel

As I was saying, Bibi has no interest in peace.

quote:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tried last week to hide from cabinet ministers the draft of a cease-fire agreement drawn up by Egypt. A senior Israeli official said that during last Thursday evening's cabinet meeting, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman confronted Netanyahu, showing him the copy of the Egyptian proposal that he, Lieberman, had received, and demanded an explanation.

The Israeli official said Lieberman surprised Netanyahu with this revelation. This was the first that the other cabinet ministers had heard that Israel had received a draft cease-fire agreement from the Egyptians, and they demanded copies of their own so they could review it.

A stormy atmosphere ensued and Netanyahu found himself on the defensive. The official said Netanyahu told the cabinet members that it was only a proposal, one of many that had been updated again and again in previous days.

"I didn't say 'yes' to this draft and for now we do not accept it," he told the ministers.
At one point Netanyahu exited the cabinet meeting to speak with some visiting mayors from the south. That get-together was to last only a few minutes, yet Netanyahu stretched it out to more than an hour. Eventually Lieberman and Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon lost their patience and left the cabinet meeting. It was decided to adjourn and continue the following morning.

did Hamas agree to a new ceasefire? weve seen Hamas fire rockets just as a ceasfire is expiring.

also, ill add that trackfan does have a legit point. until Isreal eases/removes the blockade, Gaza will not be quiet. History has shown time and again that oppressed people will rise up. Israel has to find another way if they truely want peace.

What was the Hamas response to the Egyptian proposal? If Hamas had already rejected the proposal, then what difference would Netanyahu's actions have made? LINK Sounds like Hamas has no interest in peace.

Of course not. But in these discussions when it's been shown Hamas has been the aggressor, you'll notice the goal posts have shifted from "Hamas is victim to Israel's aggression" to "Hamas will not stand for the status quo"
