Really interesting and would suggest yall read, but here are some relevant LSU excerpts...

Hello Coach!
In 1991, you led FSU to a 51-31 shellacking of Michigan, in the Big House. Would you say it's true that despite its size, it's one of the quieter and less intimidating venues?
quote:
Yeah they're not as rabid up there as they are down here. These people down here, it's religion. Go to a ball game up there and they coach in ties, we're in blue jeans. It isn't as loud as LSU and these southern schools: Auburn, Florida, FSU – you can hardly hear.
It's a little more sane up there. :)
quote:
Big fan of yours Coach. I've got two questions:
What was your favorite stadium to visit?
What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
quote:
1) Baton Rouge. I also loved Notre Dame because of the tradition.
2) Chocolate!
quote:
What was the loudest stadium you ever played in and why was it The Swamp?
quote:
Well, you're pretty honest there. There were several stadiums we played in where the noise was just about unbearable.
Worst was LSU. I mean you couldn't hear nothing. And Clemson. I mean at Clemson you couldn't hear anything. But Florida was right there with them some years.
quote:
Coach Bowden, I'd like to ask the question that very well may save all of our lives one day. If your statue at FSU were to come to life and start wreaking havoc on campus, how do we stop it?
quote:
I wouldn't want to stop it. Keep raging.

Good ole days...how long until us spoiled fans ruin that tradition?
I have a prediction...I think the passion comes back if we make another 2011 type run in a couple years. We are not as accustomed to winning every single game anymore. At least I'm not

I think it's still loud, we're just getting the "kids these days" epidemic.

I remember just back in the dinardo years...place was fricking nuts

Well, if they'd let me run the AD we'd have american gladiator style squirt guns on the roof packed with whiskey and red bull that shoots into the crowds.
But, that hasn't happened yet.

I was always a big fan of Bowden. Seems like he had that "don't give a shite attitude"

Am I supposed to believe Bobby Bowden used a smiley face?

quote:I have a different take on it, if 2011 and 1/9 had turned out differently, we would see more passion. Some of the life has been sucked out over the program in the past 5 years, easy to blame it on corporate interests, blah blah blah, but bottom line is that the program has been in standby mode for quite some time.
