Take 3/4 from the Twins to increase divisional lead to 2 games

Wade Davis lowers his ERA to 0.83, and has given up only 1 ER over his last 44 IP

The Braves are last years news, sorry nobody cares about them right now. Just think for the $90,000,000 the Royals spent to get in first place, the Braves spent 107,000,000 to be on the verge of watching the small market teams compete for the World Series in October. The Royals, the Marlins, the Orioles, the Mariners, the Pirates and Oakland have all figured out how to beat the teams in larger markets even with Selig trying to screw over small market teams. The Marlins trail the Braves by 2.5 games in the wild card race but only spent roughly 46,000,000 to compete, roughly half of the braves money spent. Money doesn't buy championships anymore. DWI

The Royals are good for the first time in a quarter century, congrats. They still wont win anything this year and still very possible they dont make the playoffs. Im assuming if/when this happens you will be no where to be found.

This kid is 13 years old. It makes more sense once you realize how old he is.

No. thanks for the first round pick BTW, I hear Foster Griffin the selection will be a potential #2 starting pitcher down the road. For what the Braves spent on Santana $14,100,000 the Royals turned it into a 4 year $28 million deal w/ Vargas, and got a first round pick. Santana has a 3.71 ERA in the NL where he gets to face pitchers every night, and Vargas has a 10-5 record with a 3.17 ERA, and the Royals are paying him $8,000,000.

This. The only thing the Braves are good at is protecting the unwritten rules of baseball, something else nobody cares about.

Sal Perez getting injuried is going to hurt, especially since Hosmer is out.

Royals: Perez is day to day with a sore knee.
quote:

Manager Ned Yost said Perez tweaked a tendon in his knee while running the bases in the fifth inning, but was removed purely as a precaution

Not worried, we're playing the Rockies so it's a good time to get him a couple games off anyway with the Rockies already without two of their best players
