Generation War on Netflix

Any of you guys checked this miniseries out? It's a German film about five friends who are caught up in the Second World War. It takes place from just before the German invasion of Russia in 1941 and goes all the way to the war's conclusion in 1945.
It's actually really good and I strongly urge those of you who would like to see productions depicting the war from the eyes of the Germans to check this one out.

So good - just finished 1st episode and thought I'd do a search. I like it at least as much as "Band of Brothers" and more than "Generation Kill" or the one set in the Pacific.

Saw it... liked it quite a lot, though not as much as All Quiet on the Western Front.
ETA:different war, different time... compared the two because they're both from the German perspective.

I like the girl who's the nurse. She's cute and they do an excellent job portraying how a "good person" could have gotten caught up in the nationalistic pride / fervor.

Way better than gk or Pacific. Not quite on par with BOB but reasonably close
