If the Big Bang happened at 12AM on January 1, the entirety of human recorded history starts on December 31 at 11:59:46 PM.

Space is big and old.

I found that the series really lost steam. But it was very good. It would be nice to have more programming like that in Primetime network so maybe the folks that need to would see it.

Yeah but writing systems developed fairly recently. "Human history" is about 20-30 times longer than recorded human history. So we're looking at a solid few minutes right there.
