Based off the beta, I would be hard pressed to buy it.
I am a Bungie fan since Marathon, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt and get it.
Things I did not like
1. Story - It was the beta, so I hope the final is more engaging. Did not suck me in like Master Chief and security officer did.
2. Annoying long time to kill bosses. Some may like this and yes it is better if you play with more friends, however after the 1,999 head shot it gets boring.

I played the beta on PS3, so maybe my opinion is skewed a bit. I imagine graphically it wasn't the best (better than the 360 I'm sure). I only played it one night for a few hours, but I will say that it's NOT in any way an MMO. If you go in thinking that, you'll be disappointed. When you complete a mission and you get a scoreboard for a few seconds and then you're loaded out of the area without any choice in the matter, it kills any open world sense for me. The missions in the beta kept taking place in the same area (for that night I played), so that was a little off putting.
Shooting seems alright, even though I played with the dreaded PS3 controller. And this game reminds me more of Mass Effect than Halo.

From things I've read, the game has real potential, but hopefully there is more to the story and characters then they had for the beta, or the game will be in trouble.

Really glitchy? I didnt experience anything even remotely glitchy actually.
It was great. Reminded me of what it felt like to play Halo for the first time, but with a deeper experience.

To answer the original question, I played the beta and enjoyed it. I'm getting the game at launch and don't see how I could not enjoy it. I think the worst case scenario is it doesn't hold my attention very long and I sell it back in a month.

Worth it for sure. I don't think i would trade it in until it got a sequel. I'll say like others that the Beta basically didn't have a story. Your character says like two words to the game of thrones droid.
