Just moved to Nashville and got in with some buddies to start hunting with them around the Selma area. Been a north LA hunter all my life, so was just wondering how the hunting was around here? Decent deer? Pine country or hardwoods? Hilly? TIA

Dallas County is square in the middle of the black belt region and home of some of the most desirable hunting leases in the state. The hunting and health of the herd doesn't get any better in Alabama. imo

Some of the best hunting in the southeast. Dallas and Wilcox produce some great deer.

Find out exactly where in Dallas county. North Dallas is avg. and mostly pine plantations. That would be north of Selma. East, south and west Dallas have great hunting when you get into the true black belt. I'm from the Selma area and if you are around the Marion junction, Orrville, Safford,Sardis,Five points, Tyler area, with the right neighbors, you are in for some great all around hunting.
