What is Governor Nixon's rep in the State?
Is he getting any heat for how he's handled the situation in Ferguson?
And is he up for re-election or is he looking at higher office?

Not from Missouri but their gubernatorial elections are in the same years as presidential elections.
So if Governor Nixon screws this up it won't hurt him in November. But if he does well it won't help him in November either.
Per Wikipedia Nixon is term-limited after his current term.
