After watching some old wcw footage on youtube and watching shoot interviews with former wcw wrestlers. Several people say wwf had an inside man in wcw.

I enjoyed wcw more than wwf/e

quote:

There is substantial evidence that Brad Siegel, head of WCW in 2001, purposely sabotaged World Championship Wrestling (including getting the time slots cancelled) in order to sell it to his friend (Stu Snyder) on behalf of the WWF and did so in a way to avoid several potential buyers who were willing to offer much more. All this was illegal and Brad Siegel could have gone to jail if the exchange was investigated and he was ruled guilty for it.

Wcw died from retarded decisions such as outting that WWE title change and putting their belt on David Arquette. He didn't make those decisions.

Probably

Eric Bischoff is on record saying he would have paid double the price that Vince Mcmahon bought WCW for. He was absolutely shocked at the price it sold for.

I loved NWO(WCW) growing up much more than wwf. The creation of the NWO and hogan becoming a bad guy has been said to be the most exciting time in wrestling history.

There were more things behind the scenes than this. I can tell you got this off a documentary and it just stuck in your head.

They treated Eddy Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Dean Melinko, etc all like low tier mid carders.

Jericho, Benoit, Guerrero and Mysterio turned out to be world champions in the WWF. They held back real, potential talent by pushing the proven, old talent.

Sold for 4 million? He offered 50 million? Bischoff thought it was a done deal.

Fear the Spear, besides my childhood the NWO and Goldberg era was the only time I watched wrestling.

No.

WCW was just garbage.

That's why it failed.

Stone Cold and The Rock put WCW out of business.

People talk about how revolutionary WCW was but the Attitude era is what changed wrestling forever.

I used to watch wrestling and WCW was still acting like the old NWA while Mr. McMahon, DX, and the like was creating sports entertainment.

WCW sucked.

Jericho, Guerro, Mysterio, etc were 2nd tier talent with WCW. NWO, Goldberg, Sting and the wolfpack were the best era of wrestling.
