I just got a new-to-me truck yesterday that sits pretty arse-high, and am wanting to get a backup camera system on it. I back up to trailers multiple times a week and back into parking spots almost all of the time. I will probably connect it to a double din touchscreen radio in the near future, but haven't looked at any of those yet.

Do yall have any suggestions on which one I should get that will have it's own display, but will also allow me to connect it to a radio when I get one? My old truck had one in the tailgate handle, but all of the ones I have seen mount on the license plate. Is that even high enough for me to see worth a damn?

Awesome! I like the ones in the rear view 1000x more than the ones in the dash.

How is the quality on those? Are the cameras sealed up well so condensation doesn't get in?

Mine has a little flip down right above the rear view. I wouldn't want a dash one. I can look in my rear view and the camera without moving my head

Could always save money and just hop out of the truck to see whats behind you if you're that bad at driving.

Once you've had both, there is no going back. I used to do the old "back up until you hear a thunk" method when I was hooking up trailers on grass/dirt, but with a camera, I can put the ball exactly under the hitch. Only have to get out to latch the tongue.

Yeah they're nice.....my parallel parking skills with a camera went from a 1 to a 10...it's nice to see how close you are to the car behind you
