I'm sick of the iPhone. Thinking of getting the Nokia Lumia 1520. Anyone here rock a windows phone and do you like it?
(Nexus 5 is also in contention)

I like my Windows Phone. I've had it since November 2012 when the 920 came out. It takes great photos and the OS runs smooth.
There is a lack of some apps, especially ones from companies like hotels and airlines. I travel Marriott a lot and really wish I had it.
The best part about WP that I find is the People app that manages all of your contacts. It integrates everything from your hotmail, gmail, facebook, etc. really well.
I went to check out the 1520, and it was just way too big for me. I will probably get another windows phone when it's time to re-up the contract again.

This is completely off topic but verizon gives me $25 off a month for not being under contract. I will never be under contract again. Thats $600 saved every new contract

I'll have to look at the numbers when the contract ends. We're with ATT, and with the Next plan, you pay the entire unsubsidized price over 2 years without a phone contract or you can pay for the phone outright. Either way you pay the full price for the phone. Under contract, you pay the subsidized price, but stay under contract, from what I understand. Like I said, I'll have to look at the numbers at the end of the year, but the contract seemed to be the better option at the time.

I knew it wasn't the same with all carriers but wanted to make sure you were aware that it maybe an option. Worth looking into at the very least

iPhone to Windows Phone
Made this switch a couple years ago. Ended up back with iPhone after a year. There were some cool things about Windows Mobile, but in the end I preferred iOS.

Lumia 920 here. Very happy with it since 8.1. Missing some local apps, but making strides. Never have issues with it.

I've Bout had it with apple. It's making me wait 90 days to download about 300$ worth of music I have paid for. Says I have put it on to many devices. I'm on my 3rd iPhone in a year...and 2 tablets. fricking bullshite.

My husband made the switch to one last year. He loves that damn phone.
The thing is massive though. I carry my phone in my scrub pocket at work...no way that phone would fit in my pocket.
I will say this...the camera on his phone is better than my iPhone.
I love my iPhone and would never switch(I have wayyy too much music on iTunes and wayyy too many apps that I love that isn't on Windows) but he seems very happy with his choice. And he spent months researching which phone he was going to replace his iPhone with.

Don't get the 1520. Wait for the 1525.
in the 1520, AT&T removed the wireless charging and dropped internal storage from 32 to 16gb.
Hopefully the 1525 restores the storage and wireless charging.
Yes, wireless charging is that good. I thought it was nothing more than a gimmick when I got my 920. I would never have purchased the wireless pads but I got 2 for free from AT&T.
I can honestly say, I will never own another phone without wireless charging.
Simple feature but game changing for me.
Also, as for switching from Apple. I doubt you will like the windows phone. I love mine. But if you use lots of apps and like to try lots of apps, you aren't going to like the phone.

From what I've seen the lack of apps is kind of gimmicky. I really only use text, youtube, surf the net, and possibly 2 or 3 more apps so I'm not too worried
AT&T has the month to month lease deal that I'll be doing until the 1525 comes out.
Thanks for the replies

I'm with ATT, so it's not available to me anyway....but does the icon get hot when you use it for long periods? My 920 gets hot occasionally, but it was the first generation WP8 phone.
