Roney Elam just committed to A&M, I wonder if we turn on the heat for Raymond? He's a good player that would fit well in Chavis' defense IMO.

Uh..

He has an offer and was pressured to commit the last time he was on campus. Him and Donta Jackson have had teh "heat" turned on them for a while now.

I knew we had offered, but I wasn't aware they pressed him to commit at the last camp. I would have to think that means we're in a really good spot with him

Why is everyone so worried about DB's in this class after last years class and having Lewis and Tolliver on board for this year? We need OT's, DE's, RB's and OLB's in this class. Next year we can load back up on DB's and WR's while selling them on PT. I swear more ppl worry about winning the recruiting NC than actually filling needs.

Losing Elam or any Defensive guy to aTm is like losing thrm to spontaneous combustion. Until aTm can prove they can coach up a D, I could care less who they get.

Nobody who follows LSU recruiting closely is worried about DBs.

Are we underdogs for both George Campbell, and Tarvarus McFadden ? Is FSU leading on both ?

Yes, Florida or Florida State likely lead for Campbell. Not sure about McFadden.

I don't see McFadden leaving the state of Florida. He's probably a FSU lean IMO. I am not worried about DBs. Like the OP said, we need help on the DL and LBs.

Full court press should be on DEs and DTs.

Toliver and Lewis plus last years haul, not worried one bit about DBs. Besides Jackson is going to be a better player than Elam anyway

Raymond was never a backup plan. Our staff wants him regardless of what Elam does.

Saying one is going to be better than the other is strictly opinion .don't rack the kid because chose elsewhere . If my son choose not to go to lsu I'm going to support him . It's his future not mine.

Didn't mean it that way. Jackson has a higher upside and I see him being a better player. Plus, I would rather keep someone as electrifying as Jackson home.

Honestly, I wanted Elam mostly to keep him away from A&M.

I'd really like Jackson and Reid, but if he we don't get them, then that's alright. We are loaded anyway, and next year Louisiana is packed with DBs, and the DB in Bama has really high interest in us.
