I did, and that makes sense. And the more I think about it the more it makes sense.
The host is "hosting" the raid which means all other players "connect" to the host's raid if the host connection to the Destiny servers is slow or the remote player's connection to the host is slow (or faster) then there could be issues with things like animation, lag, etc.
Explains more than just Crota too, not seeing ogre's eye blast, random teleporting knights, etc
Only one that gets alleviated by the sword runner being host is Crota's standing animation, but that is by far most important
