When will leagues start going with the 2 QB format?

Parity at the QB position has diminished the value of QBs in the fantasy game. As it stands now, teams wait and take QBs in the later rounds of the draft. Everyone gets a good one in 10-12 teams leagues. These QBs are big time scorers and have a huge impact of the game, yet they are treated like a TE when it comes to drafting. This is not the case for RBs and WRs, who are "valued" and go early and often and dominate the picks in the first few rounds of a draft. Why are RBs and WRs valued so much more? Well, obviously because you need to start at least 2 of them plus fill a flex. They are put at a premium.


In a 2 QB league, one is forced to grab one of the legit QBs early in order to solidify the position, much like the RB and WR positions. It brings more strategy into play as well. A guy like Tony Romo, who is consistently a top 10 QB, scoring 300+ points a season, is a 10th round pick in regular league? Does that sound right?

As we stand now, a lot of advanced leagues are going with the "Super Flex" position. Which is basically an extra flex where you can play RB/WR/TE/QB... some are even allowing you to play an extra K or DEF if you want. I think in order to keep the fantasy game fresh, we have to currently adapt to the NFL. It's a QB driven league, yet QBs aren't valued in fantasy. 2 QBs may sound weird now, but everyone said the same thing when people starting getting away from their 10 team, standard scoring leagues. People were reluctant to change to PPR or auction format or play in 14 team leagues... we may have to open up to this 2 QB system.
