First thing is i admit to knowing little about the money world. Just curious as to what to do with my rainy day fund. Talking about that money that has been set aside in case of emergency. I have mine in savings account, but im curious if this is the best place for it. Need to be able to access it if needed, but i want it to earn as much as possible and not just sit idle. Thanks in advance.

$10,000. I contribute to my 403b and have a roth account. This is just my " roof is leaking i need a new one today" money.

I personally would say leave it in savings. Many here will tell you to invest it. I don't think making an extra $250-$300 a year in interest is worth the chance of losing some of the capital.

Same here. Our efund savings is just in a savings account. Once we maxed it out now everything else goes in Roth's.
