Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's dollars have been defeated again, this time in Wisconsin. Despite Bloomberg dumping $150,000 into the Democrat primary for Milwaukee County Sheriff on behalf of anti-gun Milwaukee Police Lt. Chris Moews with a goal of defeating pro-self defense incumbent Sheriff David Clarke, Clarke was victorious last night.
The National Rifle Association, which worked to get Clarke re-elected, has congratulated the Sheriff on his win.
"On behalf of the NRA's five million members, we would like to congratulate Sheriff David A. Clarke on his hard fought victory in yesterday's Primary election for Milwaukee County Sheriff. Sheriff Clarke's outspoken commitment to the Second Amendment earned him the admiration of NRA members and gun owners nationwide," NRA Institute for Legislative Action Executive Director Chris W. Cox sad on a statement. "His dedication to freedom and the Constitution also earned him the wrath of gun control elitist Michael Bloomberg and his allies, who spent over half a million dollars (more money than both candidates in this race combined) trying to defeat Sheriff Clarke. But in the end, Bloomberg's money could not buy the hearts and minds of the voters."
Clarke rose to national fame after telling Milwaukee County residents in a series of radio ads that they should arm themselves to protect against criminals and is an outspoken supporter of the Second Amendment.

between comments about BD's wife and actively trying to unseat this guy...I suppose Bloomberg really has an axe to grind with black people

With the possible exception of JEAUXBLEAUX, I don't think Bloomberg has many fans on this board.

His comments about De Blasio's family was the most ridiculous playing of the race card I've ever heard.

it was just such a peculiar thing to say...I mean it's one thing to jab at BD playing it up...but he was complaining "she's black, people are forgetting I'm jewish "
it was just a bizarre thing to say

I agree he needs to tone it down with the tanning beds. A great American though

Right after the April 17, 2013, Senate votes against additional gun restrictions, Bloomberg's group targeted NH Republican Sen. Kelly Ayotte for her Nay votes on the three successive floor votes that day, flooding the airwaves and the print media in NH with ads against her for two solid months, even though she is not up for reelection until 2016.
When the ads had stopped and the smoke had cleared, Ayotte's favorability ratings in all 3 polls were up by 10-12 points.
With enemies like Bloomberg, who needs friends.

Asurob1 is gonna be pissed.
When will the gun grabbers learn that the 2nd amendment is not going anywhere and people will always punish you if you try to eliminate gun rights?
I hope Bloomberg keeps burning his money on a lost cause.

Never. It's why you can't give an inch on the issue either. They've been spanked on this issue, and it needs to stay that way. They had a brief time of support after Sandy Hook due to emotional response and media propaganda but after the facts have come out people have realized the gun grabbers are wrong.
We have expanded gun rights nationwide since. It's a losing issue for liberals to tout gun control

Especially so when two districts in Colorado full of left wing liberals that heavily for Obama in 2012 actually recalled their state reps over gun control legislation a whole back.

He's one of the people that says he's pro 2A but he doesn't think people should have anything but a matchlock musket because if you can't hit something with one carefully aimed shot, you shouldn't be allowed to own a gun.
