Nevada's Lake Mead, the nation's largest reservoir, has hit an all time-low since it was first filled in the 1930s, raising concerns that a water shortage could be declared for a region home to 40 million people in seven fast-growing states.

strange that building a city in the desert could be a problem.

Maybe they should stop building things like this in a desert.

there are other reservoirs in the chain and they supply more than Vegas. Blame California as well on this one and everyone's lack of true water restrictions

I went to vegas once. Passed out and forgot I left the sink going. That water was running for close to 24 hours

Now I feel bad

Is this a jab at New Orleans? Because they city was built above sea level and was 60-70 miles inland.

Also LOL @ the people in Vegas who buy boats to go take out on Lake Mead

Water wasn't a problem when I was living there 2 years ago

Used to always rent a pontoon boat few times a year and go out on Lake Mead. It was pretty amazing from year to year how you could see how much the water had dropped.

I was rattled when I first moved to Vegas and they have water police driving around neighborhoods to make sure you aren't watering certain days and times.

I don't think I have ever drank any water while in Vegas but flushing the shitter could be a problem.
