FACTS
* Exercise works as well as psychotherapy and antidepressants in the treatment of depression, maybe better," says James Blumenthal, PhD, professor of behavioral medicine in the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. A recent study analyzing 26 years of research finds that even just some exercise—as little as 20 to 30 minutes a day—can prevent depression over the long term.

* RW cycled...ALOT..had a stable full of $15,000 bicycles..some donated by Lance that he rode at the TdF

* RW & Lance were such good friends that Robin was often the first person at the end of a stage of the TdF that Lance hugged after a win and actually rode along the route in the team car cracking jokes in Lance's earpiece to motivate him.

* RW stood by Lance until the bitter end..telling everyone he was not a cheater until Lance finally admitted. Afterward RW was so upset he cut off all contact with Lance..and with cycling in general.

Yeah I know CAD;DR but its an interesting thought that giving up something he enjoyed..an outlet..in exericse/cycling and being so angry with Lance at being made a fool of (RW's words) that could have added to the depression.

Lance cheating also caused the financial crisis of 2008.

Kind of a leap to make. But not a huge leap by any means.

To blame anyone but RW himself is such a selfish act. Lance was being lied to and cut off ties. That doesn't make him even a little responsible for RWs death.

I actually find the idea offensive as a human.

i dont think anyone realizes just how connected Lance and RW were.

RW used to be a passionate cyclist..and to give that up out of anger/being lied to by someone who he thought was a great friend..remember this just happened last year...could have had something to do with ramping up the depression.

The one thing I pulled from the whole Lance Armstrong mess: Sheryl Crow apparently wasn't the a-hole after all.

It is definitely plausible, along with his years of cocaine addiction. It could be a myriad of things combined but this could definitely be one of the things. Very sad, no matter what the root cause was.

In all seriousness, there was a guy on the tv show Rehab who blamed his condition on Lance Armstrong. The guy allegedly was training to be a member of Lance's team but one day allegedly poked Lance in the stomach and made the Pilsbury Dough Boy sound. The next day, the guy was kicked off the team, although Lance never said anything about it to his face.
