This cool story is brought to you by Pancho
Not my embarrassment, fortunately. I have a group of friends that like to play pickup basketball games during the summer. I showed up late to one and they already started. As I was waiting, 5 big African Americans show up and start talking to me. First thing they say is "You guys aint scared to play us huh?" I'm a bigger guy and I use to play basketball in HS so I didn't give a frick. I told them I didn't care and I'm sure the other wouldn't either. Well half the team had to leave. They probably didn't want to play them but my friends stayed behind. Now these guys were talking mad shite, they were from a local high school, Neville (locals should know what I'm talking about)
They seemed to mention they played football there around 10 times. I'm about 6'3 and most of them were either my height or a little shorter. The rest of my team barely averaged 5'10. Also, most of them were lineman except this one smaller dude who looked like the water boy. He actually was the best player on their team.
So we start to play. These guys are fricking AWFUL. I swear we had at least 20 baskets on them before they got 1. They started to get upset. They were throwing elbows, fouling hard. Typical shite from football players. After the initial scare of going up against a bunch of tall black guys, we all started having fun, laughing, shooting stupid shots, just generally fricking with them. Finally they said they didn't want to play anymore. As they were walking away one guy yelled out "MANN SHEET I BET IF WE WAS PLAYING FOOTBALL YALL WOULDN'T BE LAFFIN SO MUCH" They got up in their beat up crown vic and rolled out.
CSB
TLDR: Bunch of white boys punked some AA's in basketball

when you're so confident you know the song you belt out the wrong lyrics at the top of your lungs.

Obligatory brag.

Same thing happened to me at the fly. A bunch of young AA studs wanted to play us in tackle football. We just ran the ball at them. They couldn't tackle. I wasn't going to chuck a football around to play into their hands.
Run game >>>> passing game

Quick question, how long is it appropriate to tell strangers that you did good in a pickup basketball game?
Years, month, a day, never?

Had a lady about a year ago bring a car to me with a leaking windshield. She said she had it replaced about a year prior and all of a sudden noticed a leak. While looking at it I stated "yea there's a bunch of hacks out there that don't know what they are doing, gotta be careful who you take yor car to." She looks up and said, you were the one who replaced it. I fixed the leak and shined her headlights for free. I still shake thinking about, learned to keep my damn mouth shut.

I never mentioned how well I played. In fact, I sucked that day.

Something similar happened in intramural flag football at LSU. Pretty sure we mercy ruled them.

Don't let the OT bring you down, bro. It was a great story and I enjoyed it.

A few months ago I was arguing about some Les Miles clock management issues during the 2011 Alabama game. My arguments were concise, backed up by facts and could only be argued with "na uh".
Unfortunately, I was talking about the 2010 game in a 2011 game thread. I deleted all my posts and slunk away.
