Since it is going to raise MY insurance premiums. In a socialized healthcare system we all pay for the faults of our neighbors. So if I make a comment about you smoking or being fat, you can't just tell me to mind my own business. It's affecting all of us.

What difference does it make if the fat people are democrats or republicans?

Because democrats are the ones in favor of socialized healthcare?

Probably a bad generalization, but you get the point.

I wouldn't give a shite if someone is fat if they are covering the extra medical costs themselves.

Well, Republicans are against socialized healthcare and against government-mandated community rating. So their policy preference is that you lose weight or pay higher premiums.

Because all Republicans are rich and don't use insurance because they have lots of money and don't need insurance.

In England, there are severe restrictions on use of the health system by fat fricks.

Whether you are pro govt or private insurance, being fat, being a smoker, and in bad health is something that I will laugh at and ridicule bc we all pay at the end of the day.

Which is why the government shouldn't be in the medical coverage industry. Too much incentive to curb costs by limiting behavior. It's the great slippery slope that will have to go into effect to bring down the costs of Obamacare, Medicaid, and Medicare.

Wanna know what pisses me off? All these super fit people that think they can continue to work out into their 50s like they did when they were 20 and constantly break their bodies with injuries that drive up my insurance premiums. Just get fat and die already.

I wish LSUpimp would comment and give you a lesson about not complaining about the decisions of the Glorious State and instead, embrace it's all knowing wisdom and majesty.

Exceptions. Fat people cost more money on average, that's just a fact.

Well then they probably have been screwed over by some awful genetics. At least they are doing their part to stay in shape; that cholesterol and BP would be much worse if they didn't. I'm not sure what your point is here.

Yep, those are definitely the people responsible for driving up premiums . You are so right :sarcasm:

Yeah, until their knees and back and shoulders start breaking down and they have to get surgery every other year because they just won't sit in front of the TV like their supposed to.
