MFSL ultradiscs, mastersound CDs, etc...

i own a few ultradiscs + a sony mastersound disc, but i bought 'em all back in the 90's....are they still considered the "definitive" versions, or would any recent remasters give 'em a run for the money? for example, i just listened to my 'wish you were here' mastersound disc after having it in storage for awhile, and i'd forgotten how thunderous (but still clear) the bass sound was....i couldn't imagine any other version being able to top it, but if so, i'd definitely love to hear it

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab LPs are fantastic. They are still pressed today. They certainly can hold their own against today's 180g releases.

i don't collect vinyl anymore, but if i did, i'd definitely trust anything MFSL has a hand in. a friend of mine still collects vinyl, but he's become skeptical about new releases....he says too many of 'em sound like they're glorified CD transfers...
