Why does Obama constantly say "uh" "um" every other word?

He just sounds like an idiot, is there no one coaching him? In my undergrad speech class if you said uh or um one time it was a a letter grade penalty for each instance during a presentation.

I call bullshite bc I teach a class in speech and you can't fail a kid for that for an assignment. If you are in fact telling the truth, you had an a-hole teacher who should be reported to his dean of hunainities and speech. Besides that, I don't look to anyone who says um as a reflection of intelligence. Stupid post.

It's not his fault. Due to a zinc oxide shortage, the batteries for his teleprompter are on backorder.

Yeah, that seems a little thin. Kind of like docking somebody a grade for excessive blinking.
Obviously too many is a (possible) sign that one didn't properly prepare for the speech but docking for just one? Nope.

Bush appears to be much more effective a communicator than Obama. Clinton was 10x more effective than both.
