What a great game. I have been to UGA 03 and this one was better. Crowd was insane. I guess it's better trying to be a great program on the rise than actually being a great program. It's rare Tiger Stadium is like that anymore.

So the crowd wasn't insane for the 2012 Bama game?

As he said... It's "rare" any more. Tiger Stadium's reputation is built on what it used to be... It USED to be like that every single game, day or night, big game or crappy game... It didn't matter. Because seeing the team 5 - 6 times a year is all we had back then. No TV. Heck, until the 80's there was only 1 - 2 college games on TV a week. A WEEK. Now it's all too familiar, proving you can get too much of a good thing.

I went to the a&m and Florida game last year and it was pathetic. Tiger stadium will never be like it once was.

Time has a way of glorifying the past. If Tiger Stadium was like LSU/UT 2000 every game, then we wouldn't be talking about LSU/UT 2000.

Hey... Throughout the 70's, the only way you knew what was going on in other games was from the P.A. announcer at Tiger Stadium at half time. We never wore purple or gold to a game. Marketing and media had no influence. The game was all you had. Sneaking in booze was no big deal. I used to carry in two gallons of beer into each game and they didn't care... It was a different world and it made for a much different game. Now,it takes a perfect storm of opponent and records and night time to get anywhere close to the frenzy that was Tiger Stadium for every game...

The best and the most successful are different. I am not complaining it was a different time we were horrible for so many years. We tore down the goal posts for a #11 team which we expect to beat now.

I disagree. I tailgated for the 2012 Alabama game. When we took the lead in the 4th quarter, we felt the ground shake from the stadium. I was hammered and it practically sobered me up. It was incredible. Even though we lost, I'll never forget that.

Well yeah 2010 Bama blocked punt was loud as hell too but it used to be every play not just moments. Not a knock just what happens when you expect to win every game.

Think about it Lsu can't take down the uprights for beating a #11 ranked team he'll not even a #1 ranked team. Just a different time.

It's what makes those moments so special, though. JJ with the jump pass against UF, Tyrann's punt return against Arkansas....those moments were awesome. I dunno. I guess I just don't see the problem. If every moment is special, then no moment is special.

Was at all those and yeah Tenn 00 was certainly a special time and place as was UGA 03 and many other TS games I went to since my childhood 60's and student era 70's. I guess life is like this my friend things seem to change and don't duplicate the greatest times we knew, so no will not be the same as it was in that rite. Especially with the high cost of attending fees and such.
I thought A & M was quite fun maybe not the loudness you wanted from the rain soaking and UF was opposite a sunbathing affair with old smashmouth type gameplan thus seemed flat.
It is up to us to create more special moments though with the beautiful facilities in place now so lets

A good friend of my brother offered me a ticket and all the beer I could drink if I just rode with him. I turned him down and worked OT instead. My phone blew up all night...especially when the goal posts were coming down.
