I'm taking my wife out for a date night this evening and am hoping to find a place not too far away from where we live where we can have drinks. Does anyone have and recommendations as to a nice place where we can stop for drinks in the Gonzales/Prairieville area?

TIA

Onezia Upscale Lounge was nice, but it's closed.

No idea that way but the little bar at French Market Bistro is nice and kind of camoed. Bacchus is a great place to have a good cocktail or a nice bottle of wine. My wife and I go in a good bit. Bridget does a great job and it's on Highland, a skip away from Prairieville.

Agree Bacchus is solid, the bar at French market only has 5 chairs. Ruffinos would be a better option than that for cocktails imo

Bacchus looks like the winner. Is it in the same shopping center as hello sushi?

I do all three depending on the mood. A bit of energy and a nice chat with friends and Ruffin, certainly Ruffinos; quiet, non-descript and hidden French Market Bistro, a great place with good conversation, food, wine and cocktails, Bacchus.

All three have great wine lists and all three will steer you in the right direction regarding what you are looking to buy.

Food wise right now I'd give Bridget at Bacchus the nod. She has come from behind but man she is really hitting on all cylinders now, mainly, I believe, because she is in there. her food has really escalated and her wine list is offering some very good values.

Wherever you go let us know how it turns out.

This, this, this.

Martini and I are agreeing on something. That should tell you something.
